The strawberry lettuce smoothie is a nutritious, light and tasty meal suitable for breakfast or any meal. I usually have some for breakfast and the rest mid-morning. The strawberries and blueberries can be fresh or frozen. Wash the berries before freezing.
1 large banana
handful green lettuce
a few blueberries
1 medjool date
pinch sea salt (optional)
1 tbsp oil (olive, Udo's Choice
250 mls filtered water
Instead of the lettuce, I often use a handful of baby spinach leaves or
pak choi. Sometimes I add alfalfa sprouts. You don't have to add both
strawberries and blueberries.
