Strawberry Lettuce Smoothie
The strawberry lettuce smoothie is a nutritious, light and tasty meal suitable for breakfast or any meal. I usually have some for breakfast and the rest mid-morning. The strawberries and blueberries can be fresh or frozen. Wash the berries before freezing. | 1 | large banana | | half | cucumber | | 1 | avocado | | handful | green lettuce leaves | | 3 | strawberries | | a few | blueberries | | 1 | medjool date | | pinch | sea salt (optional) | | 1 tbsp | oil (olive, Udo's Choice) | | 250 mls | filtered water |

- Place all ingredients, except the water and oil, in a blender.
- Add half the water and blend.
- While blending, pour in the oil and blend until smooth.
- If too thick, add the rest of the water bit by bit until the desired consistency is reached. I prefer to make it thick enough to eat with a spoon.
VariationsInstead of the lettuce, I often use a handful of baby spinach leaves or pak choi. Sometimes I add alfalfa sprouts. You don't have to add both strawberries and blueberries.
