Protein Smoothie

This protein smoothie is a raw food recipe that is great for breakfast but can be eaten at any time of the day.

1 large banana
half avocado
3-4 strawberries
1 tablespoon cacao nibs
handful cashews
1 teaspoon lucuma powder
1 teaspoon mesquite powder
1 teaspoon hemp protein powder
pinch sea salt
half cup (125mls) coconut milk
1 cup (250mls) filtered water
1 medjool date

If you can get fresh coconut milk that is great. I use Dr Martins coco milk. Vary the number of dates depending on how sweet you prefer it. More cacao nibs can be added for a more chocolaty taste.

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If too thick, add more water in small amounts until you get your preferred consistency. You can make it thin enough to drink.
